Bruce Nussbaum, Assistant Managing Editor at BusinessWeek, joined the magazine in 1977 and over the past two decades has become the leading voice in bringing the culture of design to the world of business. Since the 1990s, his stories have stressed design as a strategic, competitive tool in the marketplace. He spearheaded BusinessWeek’s longtime partnership with the Industrial Society of America’s Industrial Design Excellence Awards and Catalyst Awards, and developed a contest with Architectural Record and AIA to foster better business solutions through architecture. Nussbaum launched the Design & Innovation online channel and NussbaumOnDesign blog in 2005, and founded N –Inside Innovation, a quarterly supplement to BusinessWeek, in 2006.
