Weiss/Manfredi, founded by Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi, integrates architecture, art, and infrastructure and landscape design. The firm’s projects exemplify the potential of architecture to make a significant impact on public space. Weiss/Manfredi’s work includes the Seattle Art Museum’s Olympic Sculpture Park, located on a former industrial site, which has revitalized the city’s waterfront; and the Women’s Memorial and Education Center at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. The firm is currently working on Nexus, a multi-use arts building for Barnard College in New York. Weiss/Manfredi’s work has been exhibited at The Museum of Modern Art and the National Building Museum; and in Cooper-Hewitt’s 2000 National Design Triennial.
