The three main criteria for the jury are excellence, innovation, and enhancement of the quality of life. What do you think?

  1. Faild to understand what you see in this. Boring. Design must be Eye Catching; as well as, though provoking, and mind-stimulating. This is just plain ?. You need a younger jury.

I assume you are commenting on what you see here…….Design is so much more than your subjective (personal) taste. It is about “subjective” AND “objective” which means function in addition to the aesthetic. The purpose of the design relates to a target group. Maybe you are not the one.
I do not know anything about these typeface and their function but I assume the jury has.

  3. If you see ‘plain’ when you look at H&FJ typefaces, you need a lesson in subtlety. Their fonts are some of the most elegantly constructed type available today.

  4. I’m a RISD grad, designer for 20 years and it was a gift to have a typeface like GOTHAM. I was soooo tired of Futura… I probably need extra therapy because I try to use in on every project. Designing a typeface is a lost art. It is highly specialized. Look at any cutting edge ad or publication and try to notice the fonts being used. It is usually a blend of something classic. H&FJ gives us a new spin on classic with the attention to detail that is worthy of the recognition here.
