Established in 1984, Lake|Flato Architects is a Texas-based firm known for creating architecture that is rooted to its place, responds to the natural environment, and merges with the landscape. Lake|Flato’s buildings are tactile and modern, environmentally responsible and authentic, artful and crafted. The firm has gained national acclaim for its use of sustainable strategies that respond to each site’s specific context. As a result, in 2004, Lake|Flato was honored with the esteemed National Firm Award by the American Institute of Architects.
