Local Projects

Local Projects designs experiences that create conversations. As a media-design firm, it uses information design, media production, interactivity, and social media to both solicit and tell stories. Local Projects was the interaction-design firm for StoryCorps, co-creator of the Official NYC Information Center, and is currently partnered with Thinc Design as lead exhibition designers for the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Local Projects’ Founder and Principal, Jake Barton, teaches at New York University and The School of Visual Arts and has lectured around the world about interaction design for physical spaces.
