National Design Week

National Design Week takes place at Cooper-Hewitt from October 14–20 and is an initiative to draw national attention to the ways in which design enriches everyday life, through outreach to school teachers and their students, and partnerships with design organizations across the country.

  • National Design Awards Gala and After-Party Thursday, October 18

    Celebrate the 2007 National Design Awards at the annual ceremony, dinner, and After-Party. The People's Design Award winner will be announced at 10:00 p.m.

  • Educator Open House Friday, October 19

    Educators are invited to celebrate National Design Week by learning about Cooper-Hewitt's many education programs.
